Iowa central is really cool place we went to fort dodge Iowa central we see and we learn a lot thing.

Day 5th ( Iowa Central Community College)

    

We went to Iowa Central Community College. 

We had a lots of fun there, a lots of opportunities we can chose if we going to the Iowa Central Community College. There was a big campus and have a lots of opportunities to choose. It kind of fascinating for me about the car because i always wanna to learn how to fix car and stuff. So i don't need to go to the shop, keep fixing it and paying. It'll just waste money. I like the opportunities they have there. It gonna be awesome for us to get those opportunities. Thank You Very Much! Y'all Have A Great Summer!... :)

Long way to College

Friday June 5, we ride in the bus to Iowa Central Community College  and we have learn a lot of thing. The thing that we have learn in Community College is that Iowa Central Community college is a good opportunities for the people  that want to do thing by hand. Also in Iowa Central it also has campus for student to live in too. In the room it have five bed for five student, two bathroom, and one  kitchen. If a student want to live in campus they got to pay 6,000 dollar for a year. Iowa Central is a nice place for student to stay and learn thing. So every student who love to do thing by hand should try it out. It will be a good place for them.

 

5th day, Out of town (:

The Friday we arrive the bus to start our journey to the Iowa Central Community College. We take 45 minutes and everybody was talking about different things.When we get there, some students started to show us the building and to talk us a little bit about what careers we'll like to take.We asked questions, and of course they answered us. They tell us the benefits of study there and one of those is, that if we graduated in Storm Lake High School our first year will be free and also they a have a bus that we can arrive every day for free too. Then we went to looked the technical building, and Agriculture. Then we got free pizza and soda and while we were eating they were talking about the view book.

Day 4th (Historical Society Museum + Harker House)

We went to Historical Society Museum. The tour guide takes us to the school house, showing us the stuff about the historic, explaining what they use back in 1900s or something like that and it was very fascinating.
The school back then and now were so different, they uses desk, board, chalk, rules, bell, but now we have laptop, chrome book, computer, pen+pencil, book, and all the materials to use.


Inside the museum the tour guide talked about the bank, nurses, barber shop, movie theater, train station, barn, soldier uniform, weapon, air plane, medicine room, the tools, and explaining us the best way as he could to make us understand the word he was saying. He or they also accept us for free to see the museum and the school. The things we've saw in there it was very fascinating and it was very historical.



We went to Harker House and we took a group of picture on our way back, while when we were in Harker house we've saw a lots of historical things, it was very fascinating that the historical things have been kept for so many years and it still look so beautiful. It was fun having a field trip with bunch of friends and teachers. The plates, folk, knife, spoon are very fascinating because it was the historical stuff that will never use it again.

Harker House

We went to Harker House is first house in Storm  Lake 1874-75 was of James and Mary Allison Harket   we like everything in that house. It was fun, they let us know about Harker House. Owner of the back, the story of a child born in the Harker house and than lost in a tragic accident. They Harker family through three generations. the family ties to a famous general in a young army. 

    

We happy to hear more about the Harker House because it interest in Harker house. It very important, If you go in Harker House you see a lot of important thing.  

Day 5th Go to Iowa Central Community College

We on our way to the Iowa Central Community College. Bad lucky for this two poor students that they don't even know the teacher were taken the picture.



 We standing outside and listen to the college student explain thing about college.




We were touring around the campus.



We standing in the library and they explaining about the library rules, and the library is useful.


They have different building for different classes.




They are explaining us about the program that they have in technology.



They so nice that they give us a pizza to eat for lunch. By the end we appreciate for lady us go to their college.

4th day, History

In this day we went to 2 differents places, Historical Society Museum and Harker House. In the museum we learned a little bit about the U.S History that is interesting know how the people lived many years ago.We looked the history about the past and old pictures of important people, and how have had a change, on the dressed, buildings, tools, electronics, money, and others things.

Then we went to the Harker House, we looked how the Harker family lived.They were a bankers and  a important and a rich family. They were the first to build a house with electricity in the town, and also the owners for the first bank in Storm Lake. They were from England, they move to here. They also met important people like presidents, politics. They gave the lands for the churches that now are still there and is called church corner.Now the Harker family don't have descendents that can remember them but we have their house that now is part important of the Storm Lake's history.

past History and Harker House

On Thursday June 4, we go to the history society museum and we have found and see a lot of Fascinating thing. The Fascinating thing that we saw is the old house that make out of wood. That house is have been build a long time ago and so now is the history of Storm Lake Iowa. Also we have saw the old school house that children use to go, but that is just a long time. Right now the school house have became a history at the same time as the old wood house. Inside the old school, it still has the old desk, old book, and ect. Everything is still the same, but is just a little old. Just the same as the old house, Inside it have the old thing that people have use before and the thing that people have use is the old dishes, table, the old bed, and ect. It kind of scary if you go inside that old house by yourself because is old and it kind of dark too. But the old house and the old school house is the historic of our ancient parent life, so it good to learn about it.    
Also, we also have learn about the first house that was build in Storm Lake Iowa too. That house is called the Harker House and it very historic and Fascinating.The Harker House is very historic because is the fist house that got build in Storm Lake Iowa and the everything in that house is fascinating. Inside the house it have silver spoon and silver fork. Also everything inside the house just look like a palace or a kingdom that the king and queen live.

Day 4th Historical Society and Harker House

 We went to the Historical Society museum. Some of nice employees help us tour around the building. This picture was taken before we get inside the old house.

DAY 5

IOWA CENTRAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE

 First we go to the bus for the ride. It took about 1 hour, to get to the college.


 Then we walk to get to the building and tour managers.

 Then they started telling us about the campus, the food, (buffet) the dorms.



 After that, we went with a nice lady that told us that she is the manager of the electronic stuff in there. For us it was almost the best, because the best about that trip was the PIZZA!!

Day 4

Historical Society Museum:

It  was fascinating experience, by listening to all the historic stories. The histories about the whole U.S.A. but mostly about Iowa state (Storm Lake.) We got to look at things, stuff that they use back then.  We also went to a old house, without electricity or air condition. NO WIFI!! Also a old school, that they used chalks to write on the black board. Awesome tour managers.



Harker House:
 It was the oldest brick house from Storm Lake, they had old stuff. Some of the utensils were cover in gold. They had old dressers, old beds, old everything. The house territory was from some people named Harker they were rich. A big history from that house. Really fun.
